My work has been influenced by the The Macquarie River as it flows through the Bathurst area. Watching it change as the drought continues has found me translating what I see and feel using different mediums. I permit myself to paint, to print and to draw as I strive to capture the river in all its moments. Just like life the river flows through a changing landscape. Spending time painting and drawing en plein air has allowed me to explore a connection with the environment and an appreciation of its fragility.
