I am an artist originally from Orange.
The paintings are called Chaos and Flow and reflect the inner world states in response to the external world and the dance between the two. I created these works after my move to the Illawarra out of a felt sense of needing to make meaning, being by the ocean and allowing the ocean to be healing and teach me about how to move more graciously when there are challenges.
Volunteering in a women’s drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and engaging women in the creative process has allowed me to bring my passion for creativity and it’s therapeutic effect to others.

Chaos and Flow.
The winds they change,
like these inner winds of mine,
like the yearning turned to dust.
The winds they change,
mere immortality
left to reconcile.
The winds they change,
messy and unpredictable.
Chaotic, trying to find structure.
The winds they change,
grasping for familiarity
when nothing seems to stick.
The winds they change,
unorderly, unfairly,
at times necessarily.
The winds they change,
dancing with the wind,
finding the footing.
Like an elegant dance,
flowing like a river,
this eloquent dance between the two worlds.
