I have always been drawn to nature and love the feeling of awe triggered by breathtaking sceneries. My paintings do not try to replicate those sceneries; instead they convert the element of awe into a whimsical version of the landscapes. The clashes of patterns or markings bring about a dynamic playfulness to the landscapes.

I have not always been creating paintings as such; I am mainly a jewellery maker - I hand-paint wooden earrings, brooches and necklaces. Lately, I have been listening to my inner urge to paint (paintings) more and I am finding joy in painting largesurfaces (in relation to my wooden jewellery) and the many possibilities it brings.
