A little bit more about the artwork | Bulrushes Cumbungi Typha are wind pollinated. Flower spikes are made of two parts the upper male part releases pollen in spring and the lower female part releases seed in summer. Bulrushes provided an excellent habitat for the Spotted Marsh Frog. Limnodyanastes tasmaniensis and the Blue Skimmer Dragonfly Orthetrum caledonicum. Male dragonflies are territorial, having mid-air fights with other males and allow only females they have mated with to lay eggs in their territory.
