A little bit extra from Jess | The ‘Somatic Landscape’ series alludes to human relationships with nature, suggesting an unknown future environment.  Imagined life forms are created from the influence of Australian and European flora and human anatomy; producing hybrid, biomorphic shapes.  Exploring the space between art and craft, these watercolour and ink paintings reference art history and textile design, contemplating contemporary design, fashion and craft.
