A little bit more from Jennifer | Small to medium sized bicornual shaped baskets were traditionally woven from lawyer cane by rainforest peoples of Cape York and used to carry bush foods and medicine plants. Much larger, longer bicornual bags were woven by Kauran and Ngarrindjerri men to carry long curved hunting weapons.  This bicornual basket is hot blown glass with a horizontal pattern to evoke a coil pattern and the colours of traditional weaving fibres.
