Materials |

The small piece Ocean Drift I is made from copper wire, enamelled gold and bronze copper wire and stainless steel wire. It has a little handle and opening at the top.

The 2nd piece Ocean Drift II is made from copper wire, enamelled gold copper wire and stainless steel wire. It has a little handle and opening at the top.

Additional |
Both lights come with a long wire circle hanging mechanism (approx. 1.7 metres for small and approx. 2.9m hanging cord in black - if you prefer white contact Anne). Each light has 1 x LED Filament Bulb.

A little bit more about the works |

The delicate, flowing forms of a jellyfish inspired this series. Their frills move so gracefully as they drift around the oceans.

Ocean Drift I (small)

The patina on the copper wire is created by immersing the piece in the ocean and hanging it outside for days to obtain a beautiful verdigris. The gold and bronze of the enamelled wire and the silver of the stainless wire and retain their glimmer. This is the smaller version and photographed with and indigenous painting by Amanda Westley.

Ocean Drift II

A patina has been applied to the copper wire to create the deep black colour. This is photographed with wood carvings by Isobel Rayson.
