Materials | Compostable handmade cordage (fabric and materials torn), cotton, natural fibres, machine assembled. Each nest comes with a sweet gold ribbon inside with handwritten notes from the artist.
Sizes | sizes vary due to the handmade process - these are approx and do not include the frond or ribbon components.
petite | 6.5 dia and 4 cm height
small | 7.5 dia and 5.5 cm height
medium | 11 dia and 5 cm height
medium/wide | 11.5 to 13.5 dia wide and 7 cm height

This body work was inspired by a recent tour of Central Australia, with a particular focus on the dramatic colours and light experienced in this unique environment. I was captivated by the graphic lines defining the landscape as strong shadows are cast and the red earth and rock is illuminated, particularly during sunrise and sunset.
