A little bit more from Kylie:
I have been infatuated with drawing from a young age. Enabling a simplification of subject matter, I find it is a great catalyst for interpretation, a tool for narration in which to express and explore atmosphere, time, and place.
A little bit more from about the works:
Crimson Rosella | Canberra is just amazing with the amount of birds we get to see every day. This little Rosella didn’t seem to notice the others, he was too focused on munching his way through the trees!
This work was created with great care in the studio using bamboo reed dip pens plus traditional dip nib pens, a much-loved method of traditional dip pen drawing.
Crimson Rosellas | In the heart of Harrison during cherry blossom season you can hear the rosellas playing amongst the blooms. It really is a joy to see. A gentle drawing which was inspired after a day of peaceful observations and sketching amongst the trees.
This work was created with great care in the studio using bamboo reed dip pens plus traditional dip nib pens, a much-loved method of traditional dip pen drawing.
All artworks come with a printed Artist Statement and Biography
