Artist Statement
A liminal space is neither here nor there, black or white. It is a place of transition and waiting, the grey area between what has been and what will be. The image is part of a series titled Liminal Landscapes. All the photos in this series explore liminal space using a combination of slow shutter speed and intentional camera movement to express qualities of ambiguity, disorientation, and possibility.
To me, 2020 is a liminal year full of despair and hope.
