Contact Anne to book.
New artworks
New works have landed including:
Paintings by Amanda Westley, notecards and art tea towels by Shannon at Typoflora
and ceramics by Julie Pennington.
We are loving the unframed paintings by Amanda. These earthy / golden colours are new to our gallery. As most of you know we've had pops of green, pinks and blues. Now, terracotta, deep browns and sunny yellows. Amanda tells us a little more about the main image below Ngeragi (bush/scrub):
"Even though this part of Ngarrindjeri country that I live on is very coastal, there are parts of Ngarrindjeri Country that aren't coastal and have more bush and scrub which are represented in this painting".
Shannon has created a new range and we are loving her art tea towels. These make great carry on presents to take when travelling or to hang very affordable art in your home. I love how the flora pops through her use of colour and illustrations. As you can see from our photo below, Julie's porcelain eggshell bowls positively glow in our garden of white flowers and make a perfect match for either Amanda's or Shannon's artworks. I recommend you get in quick as these artists are very popular!

A little road trip to Newcastle, NSW and Ballarat, Victoria
We decided to head to Newcastle for our family Christmas and treat ourselves to a little stay at Crystalbrook Kingsley. Adam and I love history and this building happens to be the former Council offices located next to the Town Hall. The Crystalbrook Collection renovated the building and what I love is the little things you notice - round corners/walls, fabulous views and a gifted handmade chocolate for Christmas Eve. We also experienced rooftop views with dinner in the Roundhouse and can highly recommend this for a special getaway.
Late January, we headed to Ballarat for our dear friend's 60th. Rolly organised for us to stay at Hotel Vera - a new contemporary luxe accommodation in the heart of Ballarat. I chose the smallest room as this is something I do when we travel. Often a small room can bring comfort and a focus on what really matters - taking in the artworks and enjoying the restoration details. We also had our first long degustation and all I can say is Underbar is a delectable dining experience. Here's to supporting new and small businesses which give Australia a great name and a must to visit!
