LAST WEEK!
looks like music, sounds like painting
Our annual group show closes this Sunday 20 October at 4pm. There is still time to check out the 48 artworks by 23 artists in our tiny space. We had a record 50 guests to our private opening - I did think about squeezing everyone in to the gallery!! It was a fabulous night and thanks to everyone from our artists through to guests who mingled on a mild, coolish September evening.

Prizes and Awards from GOST
GOST is thrilled to sponsor prizes & awards in 2019. On 31 August, the Little Things Art Prize winner of the ceramics section, Grace Brown also received a solo show with our gallery. Jasmine Wolfe-Coote won the young artist ceramics prize. I was thrilled to be asked by the founder Marnie Ross to join judges Maria Stoljar and Belynda Henry to choose winners for this wonderful prize. In September, our local primary school held their Carnival and Art Exhibition. Arianne Morton, a Year Six student was awarded a book prize from GOST for her self portrait in watercolours. Congrats to all the students and may your art careers shine! In October, GOST sponsored a professional development award to Canberra Potters Members Exhibition entrant Tanya McArthur to attend a business basics for visual artists workshop in 2020.
