Duo porcelain show opens | Country House Hunters | Your photos | June & July Winter trading hours

At last! Our first show for 2023 opens this week! I may be a tad excited.
Back in September 2022, Sandy Ji and Roshni Senapati found out they were the winners of the ceramics category as part of the Little Things Art Prize. I’ve so enjoyed being a part of this wonderful initiative by the founder, Marnie Ross. It’s invitation to ‘submit creative expressions of the ‘Little Things’ that make them happy or feel grateful’ is very much aligned with GOST’s vision. We are all about community and creating a world of artworks that make us feel pretty good! In fact - awesome!
So, please join us as we launch the online catalogue at 11am, Friday 2 June for those who can’t make it in person and for those that can - with the doors opening at 11am. There is also an artist talk happening on Saturday 3 June but you must book as this is a limited capacity event (we have a very small space). So, to book your spot now or read more about the show, please click on the take me there now button!

We are starring in Country House Hunters!
Back in September 2022, the crew from CHH visited GOST on a wet, ordinary day!
Luckily Catriona lit up the morning with her bubbly personality and made filming look so easy! She is the consummate professional. Of course, I was a puffer fish - way out of water and perhaps a little starry eyed as I remembered Catriona from Simon Townsend’s Wonder World. I always wanted to be an actress and watching her on TV led me to taking up drama and theatre. Not many people know I auditioned for NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) in my early 20s!
Anyway, 7.30pm, Friday 16 June is the air date on Channel 9. Look out for Pam & John who are the couple featured for episode 18.
A big thanks to VisitCanberra and Cassie Dunchue, Assistant Director, PR Outreach and Social who organised this generous
PR opportunity to showcase our fabulous artists to visitors far and wide! Oh! Happy Days!
Photos from you!
Thanks to everyone who have sent photos of GOST ads in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane!
As you may know, GOST was selected by Visit Canberra as a representative of galleries to visit when next in Canberra. We featured alongside Pialligo Truffle Farm and The Aboreteum in a major domestic tourism campaign. A big thanks to VC for this much needed boost for tourism confidence!
Romanda from Sydney was first to let me know she saw my ad at a bus stop in Top Ryde! I was so excited to see her photo and text. I’ve received more than 100 messages from people I don’t know to family and friends. This is what I love about community - its the little things that matter and sharing a star moment!
So, please keep sending your images and messages as the campaign runs to end July.
June & July Winter trading hours
For the first time in 5 and 1/2 years GOST will do something a little different.
June will have a mix of trading hours. In July, we are only trading weekends.
The good news is when you visit you’ll meet a maker / designer gallery sitting Saturdays & Sundays. They will look after you when I go overseas with my husband and we take 23 university students to Vienna for all July! I’m excited as I have lots of readings to do before we go!
Ordering and Shipping deadlines
If you have any gifts you need posted prior to our departure date I suggest you purchase in the coming weeks as the last day for me to post will be 4pm, Tuesday 20 June. Otherwise, if you prefer you can collect in person from Thursday 1 June until Sunday 18 June. We will be open 7 days a week, 11am to 4pm.
