Open studios, Little Things Art Prize and Save the dates!
Open studios Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 August
Every year, The Australian Ceramics Association celebrates makers of ceramics with open studios all around Australia! It's a chance to see artists make, demonstrate or simply sell their handmade works. There are 170 studios open and GOST will also be open too as the owner is a ceramic artist and showcases other artist's artworks including Fran Romano, Jo Victoria, Julie Pennington and Tania Vrancic. Shortlisting Little Things Art Prize
I recently went to Sydney to shortlist finalists for the Little Things Art Prize. Marnie Ross was super organised preparing the images for the panel to choose from. It was so lovely to share the responsibility with painter Belynda Henry and podcaster Maria Stoljar. We head back to Sydney end August to choose the finalists and then announcement day is 31 August! So, if you happen to be in Sydney pop on in to Saint Cloche in Paddington to see some fabulous artworks which make little things matter, Anne xx
SAVE THE DATES!
We are excited to announce the 3rd annual group show at GOST features 25 painters who have responded to the theme, Looks like music, sounds like painting. More information will be released in the September GOST news as well as our website under Exhibitions. We hope you can make the exhibition as it will be open 7 days a week, 11am to 4pm.
